Dr. Kathryn Eads

With over two decades of national leadership in program development and support for military families, Dr. Eads brings a unique blend of academic insight, operational excellence, and deep community impact to our mission.

As Program Manager for the Reserve Component Transition Assistance Advisor program and founder of Waterhorse LLC—a certified Woman- and Veteran-owned Business Enterprise—Dr. Eads has led initiatives spanning child and youth programs, transition assistance, and family services across all 50 states, 3 territories, and D.C. Her work has directly influenced Department of Defense policy through groundbreaking national research.

She holds a PhD in Educational Administration, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction, and multiple teaching and administration licenses. Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Dr. Eads co-founded Be the Church, a nonprofit that revitalizes downtown spaces to provide jobs, housing, and hope to underserved communities.

Juan Dominguez

Juan Dominguez is a proud graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point (Class of 1989) and a Gulf War Veteran. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army, serving from 1989 to 1994. He was honored to lead soldiers as a platoon leader in the 197th Infantry Brigade, part of the 24th Infantry Division, during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

After completing his military service, Juan returned to his hometown of Bogota, New Jersey, where he served as a town councilman. Years later, continuing his commitment to civic engagement, he ran for Congress in the state of Maryland. Professionally, Juan is the founder and managing partner of Dominguez Advisors, a firm dedicated to supporting small business owners. Through his work, he actively advocates for entrepreneurs—helping them navigate growth, access capital, and build sustainable operations.

The son of Cuban immigrants, Juan was raised with a deep appreciation for freedom, hard work, and the value of service. His parents, married for over 55 years, instilled in him the importance of family and democratic ideals. These values have guided his career and life’s path.

Juan lives near Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife Cheyenne and their two sons. He enjoys coaching youth sports and is an active supporter of the United States Naval Academy, serving as a sponsor for Midshipmen. He remains deeply committed to veteran causes, leadership development, and strengthening American communities.

Byron Cantrall

Byron Cantrall is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of leadership across telecommunications, technology, and home services. He most recently served as Advisor and CEO at Ally Services Group, guiding the launch and expansion of roll-up operations in HVAC, plumbing, and related home service sectors. Prior to that, Byron led the Midwest operations for ClearWave Fiber, overseeing commercial and residential sales, operations, customer care, and marketing. From 2018 to 2022, he served as CEO of LS Networks, a leading fiber solutions provider in the Pacific Northwest. Earlier in his career, Byron held a transformative leadership role as Regional Vice President of Comcast Business in the Beltway region, where he significantly improved customer experience and operational performance.

He spent over a decade at Electric Lightwave, managing sales and operations across seven states as Senior Vice President and General Manager. Byron’s career reflects a consistent focus on growth strategy, organizational development, and customer-first innovation.

Brian Nichols

Brian Nichols brings a mission-first mindset forged through military service and refined across a dynamic career in recruiting and talent strategy. A U.S. Navy veteran who enlisted after the September 11th attacks, Brian continues a family legacy of service that traces back to the Revolutionary War. His leadership spans the private sector, federal government, and Fortune 100 companies—building veteran hiring programs that are not only scalable but deeply personal.

As Vice President of Recruiting, Brian leads with clarity and purpose. He understands the transition journey firsthand, having been the candidate, the corporate gatekeeper, and the program architect. This perspective allows him to advocate for both performance and humanity in every hiring decision. Raised in the Washington D.C. area and now based in New England with his wife and five children, Brian remains focused on one goal: connecting mission-driven talent to roles where they can lead, grow, and serve again.

David Sussman

David Sussman is the Founder and CEO of Valcor, a business restructuring and capital acquisition firm that has grown into a global network with over 100 consultant offices across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. Since 1994, David has led Valcor’s expansion while serving as a trusted advisor to small and midsize businesses, guiding them through restructuring, debt mediation, and growth financing.

In addition to managing complex corporate workouts and strategic ventures, David launched and later sold the groundbreaking DebtAuction platform, which managed over $1 billion in non-performing debt and attracted high-profile clients including Citi, Goldman Sachs, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. A recognized thought leader, David frequently speaks to business groups, serves on panels for the SBA and SCORE, and appears in major media outlets such as Fox Business, CNN/Money, the Los Angeles Times, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
