TEAM LEADER MODEL
SALES VERIFICATION CERTIFICATION PROGRAM ELEMENT: VERIFICATION
Students enrolled in the Sales Verification Certification Program must complete a unique requirement in addition to their standard coursework: 10 hours of qualified lead generation and sales outreach. These are traditional prospecting calls, where students engage potential customers and invite them to discuss their service needs with a qualified account executive, who also serves as the student’s sales mentor (Team Leader).
This requirement is not measured by sales results. There are no quotas for leads, appointments, or closed business. Instead, the objective is to measure a student’s persistence, discipline, and ability to push through the challenges inherent in sales.
While results are not mandated, these efforts often produce real sales opportunities. Each student is assigned the student’s sales mentor (Team Leader), who will pursue these opportunities on a best-efforts basis while allowing the student to observe and participate in the process. Students are also immersed in related activities such as team calls, sales forecasts, one-on-one reviews, and a final performance assessment, giving them a complete, real-world perspective.
The benefits are significant. Students experience the obstacles and pressures of sales firsthand—before they are in a position where their income depends on performance. This allows them to connect theory to practice and gain exposure to the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, development, presentation, negotiation, and acquisition. For some, this confirms sales as their career path. For others, it provides clarity to pursue a different direction. In both scenarios, the experience is transformative.
Beyond the learning experience, students share directly in the rewards of their efforts. All sales resulting from their calling activity pay 50% of earned commissions to the student, with 25% reinvested in TAVS USA and 25% paid to the sponsoring agency. This ensures students not only learn the process but also experience the incentives that drive professional sales success.
Sales is unlike most professions—it is demanding, results-driven, and unpredictable. But when success comes, the rewards are significant. This program pillar, V = Verification, is essential because it documents proof of persistence and resilience. Graduates of the Sales Verification Certification Program emerge with verified evidence of their ability to overcome challenges, making them more valuable to employers and setting them apart in a competitive job market.
