PROGRAM DETAILS

Sales Verification Certification

The program is delivered entirely virtually and includes a comprehensive series of webinar trainings covering core sales competencies. Each webinar requires participants to pass a competency test with a minimum score of 80%. The fundamental coursework covers general sales principles, along with industry specific trainings tailored to the participant's field of interest.

Participants must also complete a value proposition video presentation. This is a two to three minute video in which the participant highlights the strengths of a specific employer's offering, demonstrating their ability to research, communicate, and present with confidence.

In addition, participants are required to complete 10 hours of qualified sales activity, or cold calling. This calling activity can be completed in one hour blocks and does not require the participant to generate qualified leads or sales; the objective is simply to complete the required activity hours. A calling application will be provided to participants at no cost.

Additional trainings may be available that are industry or employer specific. These trainings are optional and are not required to earn the Sales Verification Certification. They are designed to provide participants with an expanded knowledge base relevant to their career goals.

Program Webinars: Sales Survival Skills, Sales 101, Sales 102, Sales Forecasting, Obtaining Referrals, Professional Networking, Presenting with Purpose (Presentation Skills), Social Media and Your Brand, 30/60/90 Day Territory Planning, Leadership Perspectives, Sales Roundtable, Value Propositions, Time and Priority Management, Interviewing Skills, Developing Your Story, Self-Assessment (Strengths and Weaknesses), Industry Specific Trainings 1 and 2 (Product and/or Service Specific).

Professional Sales Degree Programs

Unlike conventional degree programs, the Professional Sales Degree combines three specific disciplines to make participants highly effective in the arena of modern professional sales. The three program pillars are:

  • Psychology — understanding oneself, others, and group and organizational dynamics

  • Communications — learning how to communicate effectively and how communication influences the decision making process

  • Systems — not organizational structure, but the practical processes of how business is conducted, including operations, marketing, and management

By combining these three areas, TAVS USA leverages conventional education to create a learning synergy that is unique in higher education.

The degree programs incorporate credit earned for prior learning, qualified internships, credit for on the job training earned with employers, and continuing education. Each full-time semester combines conventional coursework with a qualified internship designed to help the participant learn and engage directly in the field of professional sales.

Upon successful completion of the full-time semesters, participants receive assistance securing employment through a qualified apprenticeship or through conventional employment. Ongoing continuing education and professional development continue throughout the program, allowing participants to complete their degree within or near a standard timeline.

TAVS USA partners with employers that offer a minimum continuing education benefit of $5,250.00 per year, helping subsidize the cost of education once full-time semesters are complete. This benefit is further supported by a TAVS USA subsidy for participants placed in a qualified sales apprenticeship position.

Participants who secure employment and wish to discontinue their studies are not required to continue their continuing education path. Participants enrolled in the bachelor's degree program may also elect to transition to the associate's degree program at any time.

Completion Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree: 66 Credits

  • Bachelor's Degree: 124 Credits

Program Duration: Approximately 2 Years (Associate's Degree), 4 Years (Bachelor's Degree)

Professional Sales Apprenticeship Program

The Sales Apprenticeship is a paid internship offered on an availability basis, with lessons and associated credit also applicable through conventional employment for participants who secure a job outside the apprenticeship track.

An apprenticeship teaches in a way that theory alone cannot. It affords participants the opportunity for on the job learning that is often overlooked instead of maximized. All employer requirements must still be met, but throughout the process TAVS USA provides a reporting structure and ongoing guidance so participants can extract as much value as possible from the experience. This same structure gives employers an individual who is motivated to learn and perform beyond their job description.

The Sales Apprenticeship applies the proven wisdom of trade apprenticeships to the white collar world, creating a model that benefits both employee and employer. Participating states may also provide additional subsidies, making TAVS USA participants an even more attractive hire.

Completion Requirements:

  • All assigned On the Job Training (OJT)

  • Related Technical Instruction (RTI)

  • Standard employer requirements
